Re: Says my IP is blacklisted…anyone know why that happens?

OK, this happened to me a few days ago, the forum uses an IP and Domain Reputation Checker protocol called spamhaus, they have recently changed there policy on a number of things to do with hosting local web servers and mail servers, they probably updated lot's of other things to. I got blacklisted ...

Re: On How Strictly the Society's Standards Are To Be Adhered To

This thread is great, as is everything everyone has said so far :P it reminds me that my rather hap-hazard approach to the whole thing that leaves me with a kit with a fully hand sewn shirt/tunic/coat while I'm still wearing a modern pair of boots (with no intention of changing them soon) is totally...

Re: Leather Wrap Gaunlets.

I have carried LARP weapons before, until an incident where armed police got called out because a teenager was out for a walk in a local park with a LARP sword and someone saw and thought it was real... Hmm. Was that teenager by chance you? Either way, it's too bad. But a magic ring, what if you ca...

Re: Dwarven utility/bushcraft Knife (viking seax/WETA inspired) - pic heavy

Wow! That came out beautifully. Now I have more ideas as I get back to my kit building. I have a knife with a loose handle and this would be a way to save the blade and give it new life. Thanks so much :P yep, things like that can be great for projects, can't wait to see what you come up with and g...

Re: Leather Wrap Gaunlets.

What about your sword for combat? Or are you thinking it would be the big and choppy? Ahhh... the OP originally said "knives", a sword is an entirely different thing so I didn't think to include it :P I was mainly contemplating survival and camp tasks instead of combat/monsters etc. howev...

Re: Leather Wrap Gaunlets.

At what point do you carry too many knives? I think the perfect number for the fantasy adventurer context is three, you want something big and choppy, like a seax, that can handle processing fire wood (or you can use an axe/hatchet/tomahawk instead), you also want a 4-5'' fixed blade camp knife, to...

Re: MERF Random Adventure Pictures

redhandfilms that is cool, I too mix ranger gear with modern stuff when I go hiking, because there are some things that just seem to work better than there modern equivalents, I'll have to see if I can find a photo but I might not have one
